Default ATTENTION! All registered members inside please

We are currently doing some updates to the site, and missed a few things when we first started the new site software last week.

please help us out

I need everyone to go into their "My Home" section (link at top of this screen).

1. Find the section at the bottom labeled "Display preferences, number of shown threads, languages, colors..." and select EDIT

2. Find the selection box labeled "Default aged threads to be displayed:" and set the selection to 2 weeks or less. Try to set that value to match your frequency of visits to this site. The lower the value, the better for site speed.

The reason? When we started this software up, it had options for 3 months, 6 months, and ALL threads to be shown. This means that every single time you visit a particular forum, it would pull up every single ever made in that forum. This makes the site run slower. I noticed on several profiles that some of you have the setting currently at "show ALL active threads" and that will pull up every single thread for the past 19 months every time you look at a page.

Please help us out by changing that setting before browsing the site.

You will still be able to search all of the threads ever made, but it is not helpful to have them pulled up every single time for browsing the site.

Thanks,
Tony

Sweet...
It makes it faster when loading the page with all the different topics.

However, for some reason, it's still kind of slow for me
when I click on an actual topic
