Default cat gut with magnaflow catback question...

Just ordered a magnaflow catback and figured while I had it apart I'd gut the cats... I searched the forums for info but can't discern if I should just gut them or get an ORY or what. I don't want the rasp people get, nor do I want too much attention from the cops, just the best performance setup. If needed, what's a good ORY and is it hard to put in?

Gratzie.

rockin'. if I'm not going to do headers for a while, maybe a long while...would it help at all to gut the cats now? I've read someone saying it will increase HP up to 14? My buddy's a welder and WANTS to take care of it all for me, so if it's at all beneficial now would be a good time to get 'er done...

so do I have to install some O2 simulators or something then? Does it mess up anything that needs reprogramming or does it sound crazy or anything?
