Default y pipe question

Well i finally got my LT's in and took my car to the shope to get my exhaust made. Well i have Jet Hot LT's in my car now with a 3in collector and the guy doing my exhaust says he cant make e a 3in y pipe. He wants to make me a 2.5in y pipe then turn into a 3in. I personally dont think it makes any sense because they make 3in y pipes so why wouldnt a 3in y pipe work? Should i tell the guy forget about it and ill come pick up my car or what?

with a ypipe setup, a 3" will be the best size. Anything smaller is almost not worth it. If it was duals, then 2.5" would be fine but with the ypipe, the 3 is really needed.

find a new shop...

why not just buy a Ypipe...

most companies make them...and with a little persuasion...should fit.

Go get your car and either find someone else, or order an off the shelf unit.
