What are my options to get rid of DRONE?
I just recently installed a LM2 on stock headers and cats on an 02 SS.
Over all I like the system, but it really starts to drone and resonate in the cabin b/w 2-3k rpm... Esp if you are part throttle. Being an M6 car it becomes really annoying as i shift around 3k when around town.. Guess I should have ponied up and bought a GMMG
Anyway, short of a new system, how can I reduce the drone.
Would resonating type tips help? (perforated wall with fiberglass fill) or would adding some additional "mufflers" before the tips, like some powersticks. I don't necessarily want to make it quieter, just have less drone.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

I've been in your boat before except I had LTs and no cats with my loudmouth. I just bought a Borla XR-1(part # 40085), installed and no drone or rasp with a awesome deep tone that is still loud.

I agree with makWS6 post.
I have a Borla XR-1 in my 427SS with Kook 1-7/8" race headers and an offroad y-pipe.
In place of my SLP resonator I put the XR-1 in, and talk about a world of difference.
No drone and the rasp is gone.
Here are some pics of my Borla Xr-1:
Peace,
Craig.
