Default cat delete pipes?

hey guys i was wondering if anyone sells sections of 3" pipe to fit where my converters are now, so i can switch from ory to catted y. i have a hooker catback and it is just too quiet with the cats on but i want to be able to put them back on if i need to pass emissions.

just go to a parts store and buy 2 straight pieces of 3" pipe. when you get them home take off your cats cut the pipe the same size and slid em' on.

That would be more trouble then its worth b/c he would have to have flanges made to bolt them up to his stock manifolds and Y pipe. I know thunderracing sells them, but if you just want your car louder, the easiest way would probally be a cutout and it would probally be louder then your car with the hooker without the cats. And a cutout would be cheaper (like 30 bux) and you can just add it where your hooker catback meets the stock Y pipe and clamp it in there.

my cats are just clamped in the y pipe with band clamps no flanges or anything i have long tubes and the y pipe is some aftermarket brand. i dont quite want it as loud as a cutout would be just a little louder than it is now.

subhumanzz i think ill do that, do the sections of pipe need to be flared or will it slide right into the existing pipe?

if you go to autozone you can get 2 pieces of straight 3" pipe. on one end it will be flared so you can slide it right over the collector on the header and the other end will slid right into your y-pipe. just make sure when you take the cats off you cut the pipe the same length so there will be no fitment issues. its very easy to do. trust me i've been there.
