My tuner actually recomended the bosch 13111 (He is a good guy, and is very smart when it comes to these cars). I kept the stock ones and the extensions for a little bit, but they were not switching right. So, I went ahead and got new o2's, and decided on the bosch 13111. I have not had a problem with the bosch yet, but then again I have not had them in the car that long. Oh and the stock ones had about 36K on them, so they were not that old either. Not trying to stir anything up, but this was my story.

Default O2 Sensors

Couldn't one use the existing stock sensors, get the proper gage and length wire, cut the wires and splice (solder) and rewrap the cables together? Then whatever length desired could be custom made.....

Actually, it is just that easy. When I got the extensions they only sent one, and I spliced up a section and drove around with that for awhile. Then in a few days they sent me two more extensions. So I used those. Then later I was having problems, and switched to the bosch sensors. Lots of people do not like to deal with stuff like that, but my Pacesetter LT's actually came with supplies to do the extending.

I thought that i had read on here somewhere something about the 13111's working better on LT's because something about them being rear vette sensors and long tubes will put them further back in the exhaust where they work best and factory sensors dont work good that far back in the exhaust. I could be mistaken though.

Hey guys, sorry to revive a dead thread here, but I'm having a similar problem and didn't see the need to make a new thread about it.

If I'm reading this correctly, Soul is trying to find O2 sensors that will be long enough for his longtube headers, meaning he's looking for upstream O2's. So his options are these Bosch 13111 sensors, or buying Denso's with extensions, is that right?

MY question is, do they make Denso O2's that are long enough (upstream) to fit longtube headers without having to buy or fabricate extensions? With all the Bosch hate, it sounds like that would be the way to go, but I don't think anybody has suggested such a part. Thanks for everybody's help!

So is there no difference between downstream and upstream o2 sensors on an ls1? Rock auto lists 13111 as downstream sensors, but it sounds like everybody is suggesting them for upstream use.

I bought my 13111's on Amazon for $53 each. And yes, they are NIB Bosch sensors.

A 2003 Z06 Corvette oxygen sensors from the factor are Delphi ES20003, Bosch 13111 is a direct cross reference to that, as well as a Denso 234-4617.

Each has long enough wire to reach. But if you want REAL OEM Sensor from the vette then DELPHI is the brand you want as that is the brand that comes from factory installed in the vettes.
