Default What mufflers to quiet down TSP duals?

I have tsp 3" duals, no cats, 11.5 compression and the ms4 cam. It sounds great but is just too loud. I was thinking about flowmaster 50 series. Any other suggestions on quieter mufflers that wont rob a lot of power? Thanks.

i got moroso spiral flows on my true duals, it really knocked some noise off of just the header/cats combo i was running til i got the duals installed.

they might take away some power, i know i felt a small *** dyno difference between headers/cats, and headers/cats,H pipe, and spiral flows.

if you have room to do so, add some dynomax ultra flow mufflers in there, i used one of those on my old 240sx a few years ago and it REALLY made it quieter, and didnt seem to rob any power.

good luck!

Of the three mufflers that TSP sells with their kits the spiral flows are the quietest.

It would not be hard at alll to angle the tsp system toward the rear seat pans and put a more traditional muffler on it. I built a system using 1 chamber flowmasters that was very liveable.

Dynomax Ultra Flows would quiet it down...I've heard an LS1 with them on it and it sounded great...not too loud. Magnaflow is what I have on my true duals and they aren't really that loud until I step on it.

Spiral flows while they are the quietest of the three that TSP offers, are by no means "quiet" in the traditional sense, only when comparing them to the others which are both very loud and essentially straight through bullets (one has dimples, wow). I know a guy on here, Blaster I think, had Edelbrock mufflers and the car was very deep and sounded IMO great. Full-Force has a good suggestion too. Never heard XR1s in person though I've seen many posts saying they are deep and not too loud but sound great.

I have the TSP duals with bullets and it was insanely loud, so I ran it under the axle and put a Dynomax Superturbo muffler on each side right before the tip and it definately quieted it down. Its quiet at idle (despite the heads and cam) but screams at wide open with no rasp.

That is EXACTLY what I was planning on doing to my duals. Do you have any pics?

After may H/C install my car sounded great but way to loud with the LM1. I put a LM2 on and it helped but still to loud. I them put a Corse cat back on, and believe it or not it was actually louder than the LM2. I then added the LM2 resonator to the intermediate pipe with the Corse cat back . That was the ticket. Great idle and cruising. If you get on it it really sound great. I just got a set of cut outs I'm going to install. The #'s in my sign are with the current exhaust. I will re dyno once I get the cut out's on.
