sealed hood

I have yet to find a write up, but what most do is debaffle the rear baffle (by drilling out the rivets) and leave the front. Then get some weatherstripping at a local home improvement store and some adhesive at an auto parts store and glue the weatherstripping to the hood. You can hear the difference from the front of the car where the intake is afterward. Cooler air = more power...

Unfortunately, the BGRA kit http://www.geocities.com/brian98rama..._Air_Pics.html isn't made anymore, but you can see the parts at that link. The weatherstripping needs to be about an inch thick to seal well between the hood and the airbox.

Cool deal. http://guerragroup.com/2000TA.htm I've been considering trying to make something from fiberglass, with inserts and a spacer. I used concrete expansion joint material (foam board) to make what I'm using now...

Check out the last pages in that thread. Made a box within the hood to ensure the air has a straight smooth path to the filter.
