Help!!!!!!!!!!!
Help!!!!!!!!!!! I was driving my car yesterday and noticed a knocking sound, i took it straight to the shop to see what was up. When the car was brought up to like 1500 rpm you can hear this knocking sound coming from the back of the engine. Here's the kicker. When i put the car in gear stepped on the brakes and revved it up to 1500-1800 you couldn't hear it. But i noticed the sound in the first place while driving down the road. Somebody, anybody have any ideas? Thanks.
it can be all kinds of things. you need to single out 1 specific thing. you said it doesnt make the sound when yur on the brake and gas so it may be something with the stall
i hope so, i just replaced the intake with an ls6 the knock sensors wouldn't have anything to do with it would they? I am not really sure what the function of a knock sensor is.

a spun bearing makes noise all over the rpm range. plus it gets louder the higher you rev. so more than likely not a bearing problem. i would look more into your flexplate/convertor. the flexplate maybe cracked ive seen it before. but when you find the problem.....upgrade time.
