Default What size exhaust

I have headers and flowmaster exhaust but factory pipe running to it all and on the drivers side it looks like they flattened the pipe about where the drivers seat is to clear something but looks unneccessary to me. Im thinking of replacing everything from the cat back. What size of exhaust pipe should i run....2 1/2" or 3"?? Which is better and will 3" still give you enough back pressure or will you lose some power to gain sound?

if i could do it again, i would go 2.5" for clearance and back pressure. people say it's bullshit, but i swear i lost some low end with my 3" dumps. i'm gonna get some 4.10s to help that out
