Default Stock MAF or Upgrade?

Aside from a new clutch going in soon, my engine is pretty much done.
383 forged block, AFR205 heads, 23x/23x ish cam, FAST/NW 90, LT w/cats, and tuned.

...still running the stock MAF with screen.

Some say the stock setup is good upto 500rwhp, others say differently. I've avoided messing with the MAF becuase of some of the tuning headaches I've read about.

So is it worth my time and money to upgrade the stocker, and with which one?

I'm thinking of the 85mm from PACE, and since I'm using HPTuners, I assume it would be best if I bought a non-calibrated MAF, copy the numbers from an appropriate tune and paste them into mine.

Other thoughs?

I would just buy SLP 85 mm mass air, that is what I have on my car. Good Luck

So you both saying an 85mm MAF uprade would be a benefit?

Trouble is, SLP's version states it is only for Stock Tune...my car is far from stock, as is the tune.

That leaves the 85mm non-calibrated version.

If you are upgrading to a 90mm intake, a 85mm MAF is a good idea. Untill then, stick with the stock MAF.

I hear that PITA to tune a car with a SLP 85mm MAF. He actually recommended if I wanted to upgrade the MAF is to get a z06 maf. I believe its a 85mm. I might be wrong.

Nope, not wrong. SLP adds a resistor between the bars to make it more in line with the stock MAF.
