Default Quietting down true duals

While I normally am one for louder is better my daily driver is doing just that, driving me nuts. I am currently running true duals out the back with bullet mufflers. With the new headers and cam this thing is killin me. I literally am tired of being the loudest thing on the road. Plus it is already starting to draw unwanted law enforcement interest. Anyone have a true dual system that is relatively quiet? Don't get me wrong, I don't mind it being noisy but basically straight pipes out the back is way too loud to keep driving daily. Throw some magnaflows in? More bullets?

Flowmaster single chambers. Great tone and more mellow than the bullets.

This will quiet it down...trust me. I finally got it installed and took it for a spin today. It's quietly deep.

Classic chambered powersticks or powerpacks from EAD will sound killer. It's what I put on my car. I don't have td's but I had lt's and an ory with the lm and it was terribly loud. Embarrassing! I put two powersticks on and it made a world of difference.

Actually it's pretty easy. It's one piece with 4 hangers that bolt to the stock locations. Put it on a floorjack and raise it, put the bolts in for the hangers loose and then the bolts for the flanges and then tighten them all up. I'll get some pics posted in my other thread with it installed soon.

Ahh, It looks like the mufflers are welded together with a strap of steel across the top. Black paint and pictures makes everything hard to see. I now see the flanges. Cool setup.

Ok I was figuring either traditional mufflers or add something else to the system. Guess I will have to weigh my options.

Thanks! As far as making your duals quiet, have you cosidered a pair of high flow metallic Magnaflow cats? They are small, so it will be easy to add them right after the headers and fairly cheap. What size pipes are you running? If they are 2 1/2", I have a pair of used Magnaflow round (Magnapacks) and 2 used Pro Flo Twisters from my old setup that I can give you a good deal on to add to your existing system. Fitting real, full size mufflers is a bitch on these cars without sacrificing ground clearance or buying a welder and some pipes and fab up something yourself. I got tired of relying on the local muffler shops doing 1/2 *** work on my car and charging an arm a and a leg or making excuses why it can't be done a certain way.
