I have heard that this muffler, though argueably the best sounding LS1 catback, is very restricive and has cost people 10-20rwhp vs a cutout. I don't mind giving up a few ponies, but I do not want to give up double digit ponies!

Here they measure their muffler CFM at 5 inches of water, is that standard?

Just wondering honestly if I can wait a year til I go true duals, or do I need to replace the muffler right now?

 

I had a Spintech crossflow muffler on a fabbed catback. On a cam-only setup at the time, it would gain roughly 15rwhp with cutout open.

 

do you still have the crossflow muffler on?

 

did you have cats? I was reading dr. gas's website, he holds the spintech patent, and it says that the mufflers work best on vehicles without cats.

 

I have spintech and I hate it.. I think its the worse sounding.. Im thinking about putting out the money for a Corsa

 

I've been doing a little research.. I think I'm just going to go ahead and get an X-pipe, like a Dr. Gas X with borla XR-1's, or the TSP true dual system if it's in 3" because I'd scrap their bullets and put some borla XR-1's on it.
