Default help me decide!!!!!

This is the problem i was going to get longtubes and ory next to add to the mods in my sig... i had picked hooker headers and their ory but im hearing that with longtubes and ory my car is going to be running extremely lean and i dont want to spend $550 on a tune because next i was going 2 save up for heads and cam and i know after that i def. need a tune..... another $550.... so i dont know if i should wait and do heads cam longtubes and ory all at once that way all i need is one tune... or is it going to be fine with longtubes and ory without tune?? if not i was thinking for the waiting time just put a ory to remove cats... help me decide thanks.

get the headers, and y pipe. The car should be fine without a tune. Tons of people run them without a tune, i am right now, with no problems. It will run better when you get a tune obviously so get one done when you can.

I'm happy w/ my ORY, your 01 exhaust manifolds should be fine until you do the heads and cam. I have dynoed 340hp/350tq without LT.

It's not too bad running LT's/ORY without a tune. You could always get a mail order tune for now to make it run a little better until you get a dyno tune.

I understand now that i can get longtubes and ory now wihout a problem but i believe it wouldnt be smart to because im going to do heads/cam later on and in the process you have to take off the headers so i will get new longtubes then and install them in the process..... but for untill then i was thinking of a orp to take off stock cats? would it be worth it would i gain any hp? and im preety sure that if i get an orp for stock manifolds it wont fit the longtubes later will it? which one? i heard bassani has one for stock manifolds but its expensive and mufflex also for like 250 but thats to pricey and i dont think its worth it for that money depending on how much hp i would gain?? but then again i can probably take it to like mufflers for less and they can make a pipe to replace just the cats for cheap.... i was thinking of gutting them but want to keep them just incase.... also how would it sound catless with my borla catback?

How long are you planning on waiting to do heads and cam? If it was me I would go ahead and put the exhaust on there...the heads and cam swap would be enough work for me without having to worry about the exhaust at the same time.

thats true... but the only extra time would be spent on installing the new ory which i can deal with.... and the heads/cam are going to come in about 3-4 months.....

I have bassani ORY, bolts up to stock manifolds, w/ sims in rear O2 sensors. My cut out is in the stock 3" pipe just before it turns over the rear-usually spot. Make sure the dump is turned down enough so you have room to add electric cut out.
If you are getting heads and cam in the near future just save the cash and get LT and Y then, since the Bassani will not work w/ LT.
