Which catback is the loudest?
Which catback is the loudest? I will be ordering a cat-back exhaust system soon for my 99 Z28. I like the borla, and magnaflow the best. Which one is louder? I am open to other suggestions for cat-back systems.
Re: Which catback is the loudest? Borla is adjustable so you will be able to make it louder. A lot of people like the Magnaflow and Hooker. Loudmouth is THE loudest, but the rasp is aa little much sometimes. True duals sound the best.

Re: Which catback is the loudest? Of the few systems that I have heard in person the Loudmouth is the loudest which is also what I have on my car.
One thing that I have noticed is that it does seem to quiet down after about 700-1000 miles from what I have heard with mine. I have no idea why it sounds quieter but it does.

Re: Which catback is the loudest? loud = Loudmouth (name says it all...)....put that with gutted cats and stock manifolds and I was able to set off alarms before I even go into the parking lot

Re: Which catback is the loudest? my friend has the magnaflow and it seems to be smooth & mellow. A certain rpm's, it changes to a blaring sound for a short time(300-400 rpms) then mellows out again. It sounds kinda cool like a 2 stage sound. Most of the guys at moroso run their borla's wide open. it has a menacing sound; raw & intimidating. The corsa cat-back is a pretty good one too. Kinda mellow but it has some ***** to it. I currently have flowmaster cat-back. With headers and no cats, it sounds great. i get compliments all the time.
