Default Texas Speed & Performance lid question?

Are they the only performance specialists who offer the newly redesigned lids? Is it true that they made 5-7 more hp than the older designed lids? If you go to their link and into the section where the lids are at, when youre first scrolling down to get to them, the first lid that comes up, is that the black one or the smoked one? Thanks

I believe thats the black one.

I just got mine a few days ago and felt a difference. Then again I just bought the car and it was still cherry.

I have one of their lids and it's awesome. It is the best choice out there. If you're considering other lids, don't. If you already have an aftermarket lid, the HP gain is probably minimal, but 5-7HP has been shown in some cars.

Jason,
What do you mean the 85mm are available...

I gave Brian my credit card number on April 11, right before I went out of town for a week...

I didn't get a lid yet...

Please contact me at lindadave@libcom.com

Thanks,

Now that I reread my post didn't make something clear. I didn't have another lid to compare it to. The car still had the stock air box.

I got on it tonight and HELL YEAH theres a definite SOTP difference!! Its my only mod and well worth the cash IMO.

Im wondering If I may have fallen through the cracks too. Ive been waiting for a regular smoked or clear lid for over 7 weeks now. Originally there was supposed to be a 1-2 week back order. Im replacing the whole intake from FTRA to TB, and this is the only peice im waiting on.

Hey guys feel free to call Brian, he can tell you exactly where you are on the list Sorry for the delays, the list is definately getting shorter now, but Trevor & Brian test fit EVERY lid that leaves the shop from now on

Thats the best plan to make sure everyone gets a perfect fitting lid

I feel this thread. I got on maybe a day after they announced them like Dec or Jan'ish gosh cant even remember. But got called once for a black one-oopps I wanted the clear or carbon, so back to waiting. Its ok, cuz after talking to them and realizing their dedication to customer satisfaction, I will wait and be happy knowing in the end (when is that again??) I can rely on a quality made product. Besides never had anyone else call back when i was waiting for a part-Maybe it cuz they get scared calling Hawaii?
