1 7/8" Headers??????
1 7/8" Headers?????? Well i am going with the MS3 cam for now but i do plan on going 427ci in the future. Should i run an 1 7/8" primary set of headers now or should i go 1 3/4" for now and wait till i do the stroker to do bigger ones??
Buy it once in my opinion. Get the big ones and give up a little low end torque for now. You already picked a cam that makes power in higher RPMs and thats where the bigger header will excel. Your basically giving up a little of the velocity/scavenging effect that a slightly smaller pipe would help with, but i doubt youd ever notice it. You will really want a big header on a big cube motor though, buy parts once, not twice, or three time, you will save a LOT of $ this way. Learn from others mistakes!

I bought the 1-7/8" knowing I would want to go FI later. Little did I know later would be before I could get Kooks and Jet Hot to get them made, coated, and to my door. I don't know what brand you're looking at, but my Kooks with the ball flange mid pipe connectors and merge spikes in the collectors are a pretty nice set of headers. Don't know what they offer for the F cars though.
If you get them coated, pay the little extra for the higher temp coating. My base sterling coating isn't falling off, but it's obvious that I'm pushing the limits of it at the 1st bend out of the heads. Mine are not shiny and smooth on the outside of the pipe at the outside radius anymore, and my car is not running lean.
