oh... and don't do like I did and assume all the fittings on the new radiator are already screwed in tight!

I had leaks like you would not believe

and you'll need to save your stock drain plug to put in the new one...

I installed my new BeCool Radiator, with new GM hoses. This radiator was definetly a tight fit all around, but none the less it does fit. I ran into a little problem trying to get the AC radiator on the tabs of the BeCool radiator. I end up having to bend the tabs ever so slightly to accept the AC unit.

After a couple of warm up and cool downs, I have only one concern. My upper radiator hose now sits really close to one of my pullies, I say its about an inch away. Should I be concerned?

An inch of space is more than enough. I'd be a little concerned if it was an 1/8".

I also just had my radiator crack about a week ago. Just got done with my H/C install a couple days before it happened. Same place too, passanger side right behind the A/C radiator hook up. I have a buddy with a spare but I haven't made it out to his place yet, so I used some high temp gasket maker we carry at work good for -60*F to 450*F & it's holding fine for now but I do plan on swapping soon.

I never even knew that this problem occurs a lot, and I've been on the boards for a while. I end up using some JB weld to temporairly stop the leak until I could get my new radiator in.

yea I used some temporary radiator plug stuff... but the crack was in such a bad spot and hard to get to that it just slowed the leak down... I'd keep an eye on that like a hawk Big Mike...

Glad to see the install went well 5.7... bet you got a better piece of mind about your cooling system now eh?

I sure do feel a lot more confident in my cooling system, especially when the temperatures dip into the 90's. I know that nothing compared to the 110 degree days Southern Arizona is seeing.

The only thing left to do is get the fans programmed to match the lower 160 degree thermostat.
