Default Bolt On Suggestions

I have a 99 SS automatic (I know lame!!!) which i quickly added the SLP cold air intake system to otherwise completely stock. What are the first things that should be done? I do not want to remove any of my emissions...and i would like to get the car to be around 400hp. (that should be enough for a little while)

What's the fast track in boltons from this point to get there?

I'm thinking:

Headers (Bassani Shorties) can these be used with my stock Y for now?
LS6 Intake
Borla adjustable seems to be the best rated Catback system
Change Y Pipe?
Lightweight driveshaft I have read will provide large rw gains suggestions?
Electric waterpump
High flow cats (will i still pass emissions NY?)
Underdrive pulley (do i need to change alternator?) Which pulley works well?

Looking for real world advice not what SLP says on their adds as far as power gains. Are any or all of these worth doing? I'm not looking to buy all at once and install i want to see the differences with each bolt on.

Headers (Bassani Shorties) can these be used with my stock Y for now? waist of $$ at this point
LS6 Intake waist of money at this point
Borla adjustable seems to be the best rated Catback system waist of money all the time?
Change Y Pipe? good choice, get a cut out installed (should be 200$)
Lightweight driveshaft I have read will provide large rw gains suggestions? You should have an aluminum ds from the factory, a waist of money though
Electric waterpump NONO, 600$ what are you thinking...
High flow cats (will i still pass emissions NY?) If they do not do a visual it will pass without cats and proper tuning
Underdrive pulley (do i need to change alternator?) Which pulley works well?
waist of money at this point.

1. 2800-3200 convertor. I prefer precision vigilantes.
2. Drag radials, nittos for a driver.
3. long tube headers and y pipe with cut out and a tune. If turbo is in your future go with coated shorties. This would put your car well well into the 12's in your area. All of it should cost about 900, 300, 900, 300....so abouty 2500.$

4. 3.73's if turbo is not in your future.....

If turbo is in your future, just get it first and the convertor and tires, even on stock exhuast it will be well into the 11's@ 120 + That would be about 6500$.

LTs, ORY, Stall, Tires to start....and why do you say your 99 A4 SS is lame?....Have you ever taken a ride in a stalled auto?...They can leave a M6 holding his stick pretty quick.

I would start will LTs and a catback. Since your auto, you need to stall that thing asap too!

So does this need to be 100% emissions legal?

What's the fast track in boltons from this point to get there?

I'm thinking:

Headers (Bassani Shorties) can these be used with my stock Y for now?If it were me and I wanted shorties I might just pick up 2000+ manifolds and cats and do a custom Y after the cat

LS6 Intake
yes

Borla adjustable seems to be the best rated Catback system
I don't know about that. It is pretty good with stock manifolds though.

Change Y Pipe?
see above

Lightweight driveshaft I have read will provide large rw gains suggestions?
How large is large? It wouldn't hurt and would save a few pounds though

Electric waterpump
if you want to do every bolt-on

High flow cats (will i still pass emissions NY?)
You won't pass any emissions, but I can't say if you could get away with it or not

Underdrive pulley (do i need to change alternator?) Which pulley works well?again if you want to do all the bolt ons

Looking for real world advice not what SLP says on their adds as far as power gains. Are any or all of these worth doing? I'm not looking to buy all at once and install i want to see the differences with each bolt on.
Torque converter would probably be the 'biggest' bolt on mod as far as difference in driving the car is concerned.
