I was going to post something similar, thank you. I constantly see that guy posting crap that he read, which just cycles the same info over and over again regardless as to it's real accuracy. Yet, I don't think he's done a single thing to his car. He's probably never torn apart a single thing.

Driver's side is always a pain in the *** to slide in, be it on the ground or on jackstands. Passanger side will usually go right in, but it's more difficult to get to the bolts. The pictures showing the primary hitting the steering shaft are not installer error at all.

If you haven't done so already, I'd suggest loosening the steering shaft bolts, and wiggling the shaft as far down onto the rack as much as possible. I found this changed the geometry just enough to allow a little more room. I would recommend you almost COMPLETELY unbolt the bolts so there is no binding and it will take some wiggling, but I'm sure this will help a little.

In addition, I had a problem with the passengers side primary hitting the K-member. I ended up grinding it on my own accord (mostly because I didn't want to reinstall the OEM crap and wait three months for a new set that may or may not fit better.) Regardless, I later discovered that it seemed like replacing the tranny mount with a poly mount raised the tail of the tranny a little bit, which in turn raised the header a bit. Also, get a good look at your motor mounts. They may be sagging if your car has a lot of miles on it, or if it's been beat-up at the track.

I think a combination of the things above CAN contribute to these headers not fitting well sometimes. I know I didn't have a problem at all with QTP's older standard collector LTs. Regardless, hopefully you'll consider these suggestions, if you haven't already, and good luck. I know it sucks to feel the way you do after spending all that money. I felt the same way...
