You did the right thing by putting them on while the exhaust was off though. Blood and cars go together nicely.

i have had the poly motor mounts sitting in my trunk for almost 1.5 years now and every time i read a thread about putting them in i let them sit longer. I'm really not looking forward to doing it...any tips you can give me though, things you would have done different? thanks in advance.

I just finished up my poly motor mount install, PITA x 100 pretty much. I wrestled with the second bolt for two hours, only took me maybe an hour to get the LT's/AC and alternator off.

I gotta tell ya though, when that second bolt finally slid through I was freaking out like I won a million dollars thats how happy I was.

Now I'm wrestling with the trans crossmember trying to do the poly trans mount.

Yeah, it full on blows ***.

But the satisfaction when you're done is well worth the struggle. Just crank it up and watch the engine go "whut revving, I'm just chillin'."

Only problem is when people ask you what mod was the hardest to do on your car you can't point to some shiny headers or a fancy intake, you just have to wave down and say "those red things somewhere around that area were a BITCH."

i did mine while i had no trans in car. Between all the disasembly and having to remove drivers manifold and cat. It took me close to 24 hours. and i ended up breaking on motor mount off in the block. had to replace two studs on the manifold, and both studs on the cat..... I cant wait to get my car running again. i hope theres a difference.

Hmm worst job you've done on the car? If you're saying that your cam swap was easier then I might have to order up a cam kit next paycheck . That's what I'VE been dreading doing. And yeah, motor mounts were not fun...at all.
