Want to remove cats!

Default Want to remove cats!

I have after market slp headers and everything back so how do i remove the cats. Do they just unbolt or do i need to take it somewhere. Just basically asking if i can remove and replace in my garage is this practical.

if you replace it with an ory, the cats come off with that...and it is probably about the same $$$ then to take it to a shop and get them to cut them off and weld new pipe where they were...you are going to need some O2 simulators, or get the O2's programmed out of the system...ory would be able to go on in a garage, a lift is more helpfull just cause there is more room, but a floor jack, or ramps works too

does this mean i cannot just un screw the cats out and put new pipe in.

its an after market Y from slp with high flow cats.

if they are the high flow cats...i wouldnt even worry about removing them...wont loose too much with them...but if you really wanted to, they are going to have to be cut...they dont unscrew...just get an ORY...all you will have to do with them is remove the ypipe currently on it, and put the other one in...

And you're better off doing it yourself, or having someone do it for you in your garage.

Most reputable exhaust shops will NOT remove any emissions device permanently from your exhaust or modify the exhaust in any way from stock.

If they happen to get caught - BIG fine
