some people are getting a bit offensive over a damn exhaust system...anyway i cant justify spending 700 on a exhaust system...my buddy has it on his trans am with QTP long tubes...does it sound good? yeah but its nothing special, sounds like any other ls1 car ive heard

I've got the SLP Loudmouth on my stock manifolds and Y-pipe and absolutely love it... but just because I have it doens't mean it's the best in the world... seems like most of the opinions on here are "i've got it and you can't beat it! It's worth a quadrazillion dollars!"
Do your research, and go to meets/cruises/car shows so you can actually hear the stuff in person...
Personally my loudmouth is friggin awesome for stock manifolds and such, I wish my tips were nicer but those can be easily upgraded... Once I get headers I'll go from there and see what i'm gonna do... but i've got plenty of time to look around until then...
bottom line, go with what YOU like... not what others say is THEIR favorite!

IMHO, Borla is a better way to go all-around.
You may not like the tips, and there's not much one can do about that.
It's saving grace is it's adjustability. With the block-off plate in there I think the sound is great. There isn't resonance and nearly no rasp. Even open, with a stall, I never really got much rasp because of the cats'. I just like the sound of the Borla (closed plate) more than Corsa. The Corsa seems more tinny and just wasn't pleasing to my ear.
Good luck either way.

I just broke the tie with a Corsa vote. I did blow out the baffles after my LTs were installed. Corsa sent out a new muffler as there is a lifetime warranty and the install was free. No problems since and I'm now cammed. The baffle issue was repaired long ago. The tips still like as new as the day the exhaust went on 5 years ago. As for sound, take your pick; quiet or nasty loud depending on your driving mood. Just go to your local LSx speed shop and listen to a few of these different setups. It really doesn't matter what we think. In the long run you have to be happy with the way you spent your dollars.

I would never buy another catback for any car unless it was a Corsa. It's perfect for me. Quiet when it needs to be, and loud when you want it to be. It sounds better than anything I have ever heard on an F-body too. It sounds smooth.
I have it on my Trans Am, and have thought about putting it on my SS and getting rid of my true duals. We'll see.

I had the same idea in mind, but i wanted gmmg's.. instead of paying the 850 for them, i went and searched for days and days for a used set, and got it... for a real good price. Look for something used (stainless steel), give them a good shine and they'll look like a brand new pair. I love my gmmg's btw.
