Default Painted vs. Coated headers

I tired searching for this but found nothing.

Is tehre an advantage to getting headers coated? Or is it for looks? I always thought that they would soak up heat 'til I read one guy's post as "if you care about looks, tehn get coated, if not get painted."

I personally don't care about how my engine bay looks so I don't want to have wasted 120 for coating just to make my headers pretty.

Ceramic coating will definitely keep more heat inside the header.

Ceramic coating will keep more heat in the header which will also reduce under hood temps, the engine compartment will also cool down alot faster.

The money it cost to get them coated is well worth it IMO.

Coated headers won't radiate as much heat, the difference is pretty major.
