magnaflow, the LM2 is jsut as loud as the first version. its gonna sound like **** and be stupid loud the second you ditch the cats or get longtubes as well

true, but his interest was with stock cats / manis. The LM2 is NOT as obnoxious as the LM1 in this setup.

An interesting Magnaflow experiment.
When we built my current car (Dyno's 421 rwhp thru a 12 bolt) we dyno'd the car with open headers and then with the Magnaflow cat-back on.
Difference was less than 1 rwhp. RapidMotorSports and I were surprised.
The Magnaflow has been on since.

I like the sound. Authoritative at cruise. Sounds like a wild animal at start up and when you get on it.
I don't have cats on.

I vote for the lm2. I have it but I have bolt ons stall and cam so I changed the muffler to a borla xr1 but if you don't plan on going that far I would get it. Here are some clips of mine.

+1 for magnaflow. but i also like the lm2, but it def can get bad with out cats, so it depends on the application
