AKA 14U2NV

First off, Onyx's SS(the one shown above I believe) does NOT have SIDEPIPES. That is what we car people like to call side exit exhaust. SIDEPIPES are exhaust pipes that travel down the length of the rocker panels on both sides of the car. They are typically chrome or have a shield on them to help prevent leg burns. Many of the 68-80 Corvettes had SIDEPIPES as well as many other MUSCLECARS: 1-2 gen CAMAROS, CHEVELLES, ROAD RUNNERS, etc....that people modified. BTW, side exit exhaust doesn't look to bad on 4th gen f-bodies(depends on exhaust tip choice). On the other hand true SIDEPIPES would look terrible. Maybe if "SPIDER" meant side exit exhaust then the post title should be changed. Maybe some posters should learn the correct terms prior to flapping their mouths and trying to be smarta$$es. Oh and I wouldn't be singing a different tune, because I do know whats under the hood, and that makes no difference. SIDEPIPES would still look like **** on the car even if it have a MTI superstroker with an ATI F1 blower with C5R heads........ who cares the SIDEPIPES look like **** and thats what the post was about.

There is a big difference between 'side exit' and 'side pipes'...
Side exit exhaust can be tastefully done, but the term 'side pipes' are the subject of the question.
I have only ever seen 1 LS1 Z with side pipes. It looked completely ghey.
The car had a page on Webshots, but when the address got out to the boards and everyone made rude comments for a day or two, the page got deleted. So I don't have links or pics to support my opinion. Just trust me on this one!

BounceLS1's post about Onyx's car was where the misunderstanding started. I agree that sidepipes might (might only because I have yet to see them) look dumb on a 4th gen f-body. My post about the exhaust exiting points (which I DID specify over sidepipes) was when NiceTry said that the picture bounce posted of Oynx's car's exhaust exiting tips was the ONLY thing keeping it from being a "pimp ***" car, it had nothing to do with the original post.
I'm still thinking about doing SIDE EXIT exhaust with my "Sport Appearance Package" equipped Z28. And the tips are what I've been pondering the most.. which ones would you suggest?

"I planned on doing a roush style i was even looking to the exhaust tips on their website but i'm having trouble finding them, if anyone knows where i could buy them or something similar post a link please."
-Spider (the topic starter)

...last time I checked "roush style" = SIDE EXITING EXHAUST.

This car was paired with me in a SCCA learning class... I'll let the car speak for itself. It does have true side pipes, and they were a custom job adopted from a C4 application if I recall.

I have seen a WS-6 with quality side-pipes. I have also seen photos of two **** doin' it. I do not see anything in common. I can say , however, I'd rather see the two **** go to the car crusher.
