Anyone have pictures of a sidepipe setup?
First off, Onyx's SS(the one shown above I believe) does NOT have SIDEPIPES. That is what we car people like to call side exit exhaust. SIDEPIPES are exhaust pipes that travel down the length of the rocker panels on both sides of the car. They are typically chrome or have a shield on them to help prevent leg burns. Many of the 68-80 Corvettes had SIDEPIPES as well as many other MUSCLECARS: 1-2 gen CAMAROS, CHEVELLES, ROAD RUNNERS, etc....that people modified. BTW, side exit exhaust doesn't look to bad on 4th gen f-bodies(depends on exhaust tip choice). On the other hand true SIDEPIPES would look terrible. Maybe if "SPIDER" meant side exit exhaust then the post title should be changed. Maybe some posters should learn the correct terms prior to flapping their mouths and trying to be smarta$$es. Oh and I wouldn't be singing a different tune, because I do know whats under the hood, and that makes no difference. SIDEPIPES would still look like **** on the car even if it have a MTI superstroker with an ATI F1 blower with C5R heads........ who cares the SIDEPIPES look like **** and thats what the post was about.
Side exit exhaust can be tastefully done, but the term 'side pipes' are the subject of the question.
I have only ever seen 1 LS1 Z with side pipes. It looked completely ghey.

The car had a page on Webshots, but when the address got out to the boards and everyone made rude comments for a day or two, the page got deleted. So I don't have links or pics to support my opinion. Just trust me on this one!

I'm still thinking about doing SIDE EXIT exhaust with my "Sport Appearance Package" equipped Z28. And the tips are what I've been pondering the most.. which ones would you suggest?
