Anyone have pictures of a sidepipe setup? I was wondering if any of you guys had some pictures of a sidepipe setup from underneath the car, like up on a lift or something? thanks.

You have got to be joking! Sidepipes on a 4th gen f-body 
. I am sorry, but in my opinion that would look like complete $hit! The late model sports cars are just that, SPORTS CARS! They are NOT muscle cars! Re: Anyone have pictures of a sidepipe setup? Speaking of side exiting exhaust... I have the Sport Appearance Package (aka: RS Package) on my Z28. How do you guys think it would look with holes cut in the ground effects right before the rear tires on each side with single tip oval pipe? Kinda like the C5-R exhaust...

Re: Anyone have pictures of a sidepipe setup? I debated trying to do a Winston Cup boom tube style setup off of my X-pipe, but money sorta killed that project. I think if done right it will look good. Remember it's your car, enjoy it.

The best example on a fbody is on the blue/yellow striped C5R Camaro that circulated around about a year ago.

But, why would someone want to draw that extra "hey Mr.Policeman come gimme a ticket" attention to themself for having an illegal exhaust exit? It is illegal in all states is it not, unless manufactured llike that e.g. Roucsh!

The cop was mainly concerned about noise and cats. So if you run cats and its quiet enough they will leave you alone no matter where it exits. I think the Rousch mustangs get away with side exits because they dont have rear seats.

1) The law is different in every village, town, city, and state. Something that is legal in one place can be (and often is!) illegal in the next. Consult your local laws (not the police, as they may not know the exact wording, and will often err on the side of "don't do it").
2) If you think you can get away with it (i.e.: police will not stop you), go ahead. One very good point was "we all spend thousands of dollars on upgrading our cars; a hundred dollar noise violation ticket should be considered part of the cost of the modification". However, it can get REAL bad when they make you take the entire exhaust off because it is not emissions legal.
