Mufflex, Hooker, or Loudmouth.
Mufflex, Hooker, or Loudmouth. Hi guys im getting ready to order my cat-back, and I cant decide on which I want. I want it to be pretty loud. How much louder is the loudmouth over the hooker and mufflex? If its not much louder than the hooker, I will get the hooker. I like the sound of all of them, am just in a toss up. How do the 3 compare if I was to remove the cat?

Re: Mufflex, Hooker, or Loudmouth. i got loud mouth with headers and an offroad pipe if you want loud hten this is the way to go. it is crazy loud. when i did the loudmouth i also added the larger diameter y pipe from slp. car was pretty loud then. if you want real loud then headers with the loudmouth sounds tit.

Re: Mufflex, Hooker, or Loudmouth. yeah man. i plan on getting loudmouth when i get back. and loudmouth is beserk man...i love how it sounds. but i dont know if i should get slp longtubes or qtp headers...but definitely loudmouth.
Re: Mufflex, Hooker, or Loudmouth. SLP longtubes are crap, go with the QTPs. Answering the other guy's question, LM if you don't mind a little noise or the Hooker if you want it quieter. Mufflex's 4" design is too big unless you have some major mods in store.

Re: Mufflex, Hooker, or Loudmouth. I've got the LM and I love it. However I agree with everyone else about the Hooker. If you have headers, gutted cats, orp, whatever, you will want the hooker. A friend of mine, rnr27band1, has the hooker and loves it. Plus you can drop it off at the flange right before the muffler and pickup around 7 hp. However as far as volume goes, his hooker with !cats and headers on it is about as loud as my LM with just stock manifold and cats. Hope that helps ya.

Re: Mufflex, Hooker, or Loudmouth. I have the hooker catback and really like it. It sounds great with cats, though it is a little on the quiet side. I recently installed some gutted cats and it made it a little louder, and sounds real good now.
