Default single dumped bullet

Right now I have my crappy flowmaster catback on my LTs/ORY and honestly its not nearly loud enough for me,sounds like **** and I can tell its holding the car back a little,I might be getting my tsp rumbler back from a friend and I was thinking of maybe cutting the tailpipes off and just sticking a turndown off of the muffler and running it like that, would this sound good? will I notice a difference in power over the flowmaster?

A bullet dumped will sound just like duals and bullets dumped if you have a good y pipe. I have built many like that.

The sweetest sounding bullet type muffler dumped is the spiral flow dumped. Dont be surprised if it sounds like a Mustang running 2 chamber flowmasters though, which is not a bad thing.

Those mustangs sound good. That is the only thing that interests me. The blown ones sound excellent too!

or could I even just cut off the tailpipes and muffler from my crapmaster cb and just stick a 3" bullet muffler on the end and dump it before the axle?

i ran a loudmouth bullet dumped before the axle for awhile and it sounded good... but no, don't expect it to sound like true duals or anything

I have a 3" ORY with the single bullet coming off of Mac mids with a 600 lift cam and I get looked at constantly. I will have the ORY/bullet combo up for sale soon and going with true duals with an x pipe and my one chambers to hopefully quiet it down some.

I'm sure that a single bullet dumped would be as loud as what you're looking for, but it'll probably have a fair share of rasp to go along with it, if it's a Y pipe with no cats. I personally don't like that sound, but if it's what you want go for it

Single bullet dumped is just deeper than running a straight with a turndown. They are loud.

better yet, sell the catback and just add a bullet muffler to the ypipe.
