Default CME or Dumps?

Since the CME Rear valance is now a little more attainable, I'd like to do a CME EXH. BUT, I've allways wanted dual X dumped w/ sweet thunder bullets.

What do you think? Duals CME or CB CME or Dumps? I know there is no real performance gain from duals to the rear, except sound difference.

I like it loud too, if that matters... I'm getting a TSP Rumbler CB to replace my Borla. -Tired of the Borla, Rumbler CB is cheap enough that I don't consider it permanent.

So you want it for looks or performance? I would jsut dump true duals if it is for performance.

The CB and TD's to the rear both perform about the same right?

What's the power difference between the Dumps and a full exh? 10hp? I'm not really concerned too much about the full exh choking the HP (for some reason), the sound is worth it to me... IMO.. *hides* .. If it's built properly, it flows fine. From what I've been told.

Ground clearance on the Dumps gets me.. I've seen some that have GREAT GC, but some that hang really low.

I think it would look ghetto w/ a CME rear and nothing in the space provided for the tips.

The CME setup is really more of an appearence mod than performance. If you are asking which is better performance then obviously the dumped setup would be.

No way! TD's will still outperform. I have TD's all the way out the back.

True duals outperform all other exhausts. Loud though.

^ Out perform, but not by much., What 5hp?. If you have a properly set up Y system, it will perform the same as duals.. The only real difference is the sound. Read this page.. Regarding that.

I really want the CME for the looks, of course, but I also want the earth shaking rumble of the dumps. And it's a LOT cheaper!

I can do a TD setup w/ sweet thunder bullets. The X pipe is where the rasp can be controlled. If you want a cheap X pipe, you'll have to deal w/ the rasp... A GOOD siamesed X will be better at controlling the rasp.. .

I voted dumps, because to me they are just plain mean looking and sounding. CME does give the *** end of the car a nice, refined look though. If you're really just wanting a great looking exhaust though, and money isn't an issue, then you should go CME.

^ Hmm... Yeah.. The money isn't really an issue. I'm just TRYING to make up my mind.. Whenever I think I'm settled on an idea, I go and change my mind!

Like last year I was 100% sold on a dry nitrous kit, I did a LOT of research on it... then overnight I changed my mind.

Although probably biased, I vote dumps---cheaper, easier, sounds better (IMO) and looks mean as hell on camaros. My wife's dd is the only vehicle we have that I ran the duals out the back.

a Y will perform just as good as long as its 3' and up depending on power, duals just sound awesome and in stock form going from 2.5 to TWO 2.5 or even 3' pipes of course its going to make a huge difference but a Y will do just as good, i'm pretty sure nascars use a Y pipe with a bullet and it exits on the side if i'm not mistaken.

Maybe you could have dumps and have dummy CME tips? Not sure how, but maybe make hangers for the tips or something. Or glue them to the valence, lol

Thats what I was thinking. Just put the CME kit on and then install your dump in the usual spot under the passenger seat area. Then you'll have the best of both worlds!
