Default Manual or Electric?

Does anyone have a manual cutout instead of an electric. I know the electric ones are badass but i have seen some that have problems. Such as fuse blowing or the motor going out. And much more expensive.

So if you have a manual cutout please let me know if its a good thing or something you wish you never bought?

If your unsure i would just go manual first, then you could add the electric motor. but definitley go electric, and get a dmh.

I have had my QTEC 4 yrs or so..I would not bother with one that you had to get out and uncap it, unless it was a race car..then I would ONLY have a manual.

I've got the manual on my car, like silver said if you want to you can add the electric later on... I pretty much use mine only at the track.

It's really a piece of cake to open it, takes about thirtry seconds. I have no self control and if I had an electric, I would burn out the motor from opening it all the time.

Not sure what you mean by manual cutout - if it's one with the cable going to it don't bother IMO. My electric broke so just uncap mine now.

yea from what i hear about the electric ones its either hit or miss, Ive read 50/50 on almost EVERY brand so I just decided to use a manual one so I dont spend 200 $ just to have it give out on me

Bullshit buy this one from LS1speed.com. http://www.ls1speed.com/cont.cfm?cid=C0000581

I personally run this electric cutout and you can get the y-cutout pipe for $20.00 more. Listen I have my switch mounted above my ash tray and it looks factory. DMH has a 4-year warranty and if its gonna go bad its gonna do it before 4 years down the road. This is one of my favorite mods so far! If you want to crawl down on the ground to reach something that was already to low to the ground when you installed it.Out in this heat with the fire ants nibbling on your *** go ahead and get a manual cutout!

Yeah i open and close mine atleast twice a day and it never burnt out. i think its more the heat and vibrations that kill the motor rather than opening and closing it.

Manual i think is the best, i am selling one, if your interested, but manual, i have had to many problems with electric, motors going out and all, all my friends went to manual, especially because they always leave it open.
