Re: Anyone using the PPC or QTP headers? I just want to throw this in here. QTPs are 304 SS. The 304 SS keeps the heat in better than 409 SS. Thats why you dont need to coat them. They will probably keep the heat in better then any of those coated headers. Do some research on 304 SS. I think there is one other SS type thats the best but they say its expensive so thats probably why nobody uses it for headers. IMHO if you have 304 SS dont coat them since you dont really need to. After a few years the coating will look like cr@p from what Ive heard.
Re: Anyone using the PPC or QTP headers? My stainless QTPs went on so easy... like changing an air filter ...but no clips. Thay should be call "slip-ons". Not to all: Stainless is better and I wont go into why...but were arguing very minor issues here . The stainless will "bronze" or go brown where coated look shiny. Those who have them know this and this will be well spresd info by the end of summer. If you have a show car, consider coated...but for the all out best quality, ease of install, durability I'd go stainless QTP for $695 and then have them coated. I didn't coat mine...yet. Kook will probably perform about the same for most of us, but in the end cost more...and the "y" simply is not as good from what I've personally seen. I you went true duals I'm sure it wouldn't matter so much. Can you say Fad. LS1's owners (everyone for that matter) including me, like and promote what they bought in most cases.
