Slight exaust leak
Slight exaust leak Does anyones exaust leak like... a tiny bit, i have a few small small leaks in between the headers and y pipe, like it comes around the pipe and actually shoots out toward the front or the car its very very slight thoo... am i actually loosing a noticable mount of power?
oh true good call... didnt think about the wrap thing.... ive been startin it up and runnin under the car and feelin for leaks and then puttin sealer on it for like 2 hours..

oh i dont thin this is that big of a leak, plus i have a 3600 stall and a cam with upper rpm power band so it souldn affect to much... as long as i dont loose anything on the dyno tomorrow, im glad im not the only one havin these problems.

I'm bringing this thread back from the dead... I was already thinking of using header wrap along with the band clamps but I remember when I did a header install aloooong time ago on my LT1, had to drive the car to a shop and have the y pipe welded on to the rest of the exhaust. We used this muffler patch stuff that would turn into metal once it heated up and it actually held the damn thing together al the way to the shop. How would this stuff hold up or should I just go with the header wrap?
