Removing EGR?
First of all, I have a 98' t/a. A buddy of mine was telling me that we can revome the EGR pump and block off where the tube went into the intake and the one down to the exhaust. Thus getting rid of the EGR. What are the downsides to this? Are there any benifits?
Thanks in Advance.

Re: Removing EGR?
Benifits are that it cleans up the engine bay. The EGR tube sticks down about an inch or so into the intake track. It disrupts air flow. How much? VERY little, but every little bit helps. That's pretty much it.

Re: Removing EGR?
I am going to have my AIR and EGR edited out with ls1edit. I have had both systems off for 6 months now, with nothing more than an SES light. I bought the 3 needed blockoff plates from 'Mighty Mouse' from this board for $15 shipped
