How soon are we talking? Any chance you can announce what you have planned so I can determine if it's worth waiting for..

Although, if it's not in the next month, I won't be able to take advantage of it anyway..

I'll just copy/paste (it's just easier) a recent reply of mine on the subject of header choice and picking parts in general...

Think of what your long term goals are for the car and what you REALLY want from it and what you'll be happy with. Mod wisely knowing that you made the right choices and picked the right parts.

I've been in the LS1 game for a while now and learned quite a bit over the years. The biggest thing I learned was that cutting corners definetly did NOT pay off in the long run. It took me a few years and pretty much starting all over to finally get it through my thick (and poor) head that from then on if I was going to do it, that I would do it once and do it right the first time. Even if it meant holding out and saving for a little while longer.

I used to have a set of Jet-Hot coated Kook's headers on my pervious '99 TA...honestly, they looked pretty crappy after only 1 1/2 years of having them and the car was NOT a daily driver at the time. The coating had chipped away and peeled down near the collectors and the headers themselves started to rust badly.
I learned quite a damn bit after having that car for over 5 years...

With all of that being said, my current '02 WS6 has stainless American Racing Headers and I wouldn't think of running anything else. They fit a TON better than what I previously had and really cannot be beat.
No burning O2 & Cam position sensor wires on my car!
Give ARH a call and I'm sure you'll be happy...from their customer service to their product, they are simply the best.

Save up some more and buy something higher end, you'll thank yourself in the long run.
Goodluck

Just remember, you get what you pay for.
Ditto...search, search and search again.
Research it to hell until you are ABSOLUTELY sure of what you want to go with. There's nothing worse than regretting spending a chunk of $$$ on a mod to ultimately not be happy with.

That's horrible
Rigging it up or hacking just to get a mod to work properly or even function decently is just plain shitty and unnecesary.

^^

I'm happy with mine and for the cost you can't beat it. What did you pay for your ARH twice mabye even three times as much as my XS's costed me. Sorry but for the 2hp more you might make I'll spend on something that will make me even faster.

after reading his posts over and over when header debates come up, I'm starting to think maybe he didn't purchase them, but maybe they were installed at no charge to him as long as he keeps posting about how fantastical they are and nothing else...

just a thought

Yeh, I can wait that long.. I won't have my car ready for headers before then..

I only get 2 days in town a week right now, so it is going to take me quite some time to get this swap finished..

If they put out decent power, I may just skip the Kooks/QTP's and get a FAST 90/90..

I have these headers and Y. I have no numbers before the headers were on but I did make 462/413 on a 346 with milled TSP LS6 heads and a T Rex.

The only other LS1 headers I have used are the SLP's. These fit so much better than those did...

LOL I wish they were free, not even close. I have nothing to do with ARH and am just a customer who's been around these cars for a while now.
I'm just adding my .02 cents in from experience, take it for what it's worth.
If I could help someone save money in the long run (even if it means buying a higher priced/higher end product) then why not?
I learned not to waste my time and hard earned money with inferior products, to each his own.

Do it once and do it right

I've seen a set of these XS headers in person, they were not installed on a car so I really got to examine them closely.

The welds, flanges, and bends looked amazing. I'd definitely buy a set.

Just curious.. These are legit questions, not trying to be a *****..

Have you dealt with the XS Headers?
Ever owned a set?

What has led you to believe they are inferior to any other header on the market?

SS Auto Chrome makes them... The title of this thread is.. "XS Stainless Steel headers..." So.. it's a good bet, we are discussing SS headers and STOP YELLING!
