Thanks again guys. I might try and get a better video so you can hear it through the entire RPM range. It has a nasty pop when you shift at redline.

I took my car back to Mufflex to get a section put in the exhaust and my UMI subframe connectors welded in.

Well, time to bump my thread again. I painted the y-pipe back, left the muffler chrome. It's amazing what a can of paint can do, I think it looks awesome. I also just lowered it with Koni SA's and Hotchkis springs. The springs haven't settled yet but the ground clearance is still great.

hey grifter... mufflex just made me a custom catback as well. its phenomenal, i love them. even though i went a different route (quieter exhaust setup), you can't argue with quality.

doh! i should know better than that! sorry for the dirty car, been a busy week! i did my best with the photos but the sun is creating an incredible glare. also i tried to snap photos of the y-pipe just to show you. the exhaust setup include QTP headers, custom catted-y from mufflex, intermediate pipe from my corsa exhaust, muffler through tips is custom by mufflex as well using a slp dual-dual muffler and magnaflow tips (which i admittedly coppied from dvst8r on this board)

I should probably note that this last pic is under the drivers door to show the ground clearance of the new y-pipe.

Do you happen to have the part number for that muffler? My exhaust guy couldn't find it. I have a 4 inch Flowmaster on my 3rd gen now and really don't care for the sound. The Magnaflow muff is suppose to flow a lot better.

Thanks. Awesome looking system.

Grifter, do you have a shot of the rear from a higher standpoint? I just want to see what it looks like from farther away. I am looking at doing a system just like that.

Thanks. If you're walking around the car you can't see the muffler/tailpipe, especially now that it's painted. You have to be a good distance or bending down to see it.

Hey Grifter, can you pm how much it was for your ypipe setup. Granted, they did a complete ypipe to exhaust tip, but at least it'll give me an idea of what I'm looking at. I work over in Titusville/Washington Crossing NJ so Mufflex isn't too far away for me.

My ypipe took a beating from a busted up road and a big peice of concrete smashing my ypipe so I need to find an alternative and want a good merge on it that isn't going to kill my clearance.

Thanks.

I had the tank out to do the fuel pump so I painted the rest of the piping that I couldn't when it was in the car.
