is coating worth it??

i can get my headers with ceramic coating for $270 extra...is it worth it?? it's a DD car so i don't want engine temps thru the roof but does it really make that big a difference??? what about flaking on pealing?

I think its well worth the money. I have had only one set but they look great, lower temps, and they seem to cool off pretty fast if your trying to work around them. If you could get them done cheaper then buy them without. I have a buddy that does mine for free so i save the $270.....lucky me!

ive had a set of headers uncoated on my GTO and i wish i had to of just coughed up the extra dough to get em coated....if not for the temp then for the looks!
