Default knock sensors questions...

ok on my friends 99 SS both knockers are out how do we replaced them..

Pull the intake and they're right there. I had to replace mine to, it was rusted to HELL!!

I got my complete 99+ upgrade from gmperformanceparts.com for like 100 bucks shipped. That was for the 2 sensors and the harness. There's a few ways to do it, I pulled the fuel rails and then the intake, search around and you can find a few different ways to do it and pick whichever you like the best. It's pretty easy.

Usually around 55 a piece. Got mine(2) new off ebay for 60 shipped.

there 22 mm, torque them to 17 ft lbs, if u tighten them to hard they will crack and you'll get a low frequncy code

does anyone know how to install the wiring harness part number #10456222 i have a 98 z28 and would like to upgrade... thanks in advance and a quick write up would be apprieciate..

Ugh I spent like an hour searching for the correct PN . They've changed it like 3 times and you need the current one for GM parts direct. Best thing I can tell you is either do a search on here for "knock sensor upgrade" or something on here and google. If you can't come up with something that way see if either SDPC can hook you up or give Egay a whirl.

It justs snaps in. I have a 98 and it already came with the upgraded harness and the newer version sensors
