Default anyone ever modified a LS6 intake 4 egr?????

hay guys i am currently in the market lookin for a ls6 intake and tb (was thinkin 85mm from summit) and my car has egr and unfortunantly i cannot remove it due to stupid califoria emissions laws and i wanted to know if it is possible to modify the intake for the use with an egr system like, i know i need to drill a hole in the composite and make it fit but will i damage anything, because my dads a machinist and he makes me shifters, shift *****, brackets etc... or should i jus pay the extra and go with the slp LS6 intake with the egr already?? and by the way will the summit 85mm throttle body work fine on the ls6 intake????? thanks guys

yea i would and i know alot of people have but i have heard storys of the epoxy falling off the tb and getting into the intake, after seeing pics and hearing storys, it scars me a bit to mess with my stocker, and the new tb isent even gonna cost that much $166 porting the stock would probly cost $100 im guessing so its not even worth it.

Dont epoxy it then. You dont need to epoxy it to port it. And porting it yourself is free...where did you get $100 from?

The way I see it, if SLP can modify LS6 intakes for EGR use with what looks like a brass compression fitting, then anyone can do it. You just need to research the correct parts.

+1. I would just do some modifications to it by looking around. With the money you save you can throw it somewhere else. Just make sure everything seals up tight.

theres a special kit for that from sdpc a sponser here. Its like an attachment between the intake and throttle body, its a little piece of plastic that makes an egr port so its cali legal, its cost 75.00 for the kit, look it up.

hummm well fast intake is like $750 and ls6 is $300 and the most your probly gonna get out of the fast is lik 10hp over the ls6 not even that probly but the fast is way to much out of my price range for an intake, i can use the leftover money for alot of other things. but i still love the fast
