Wouldn't those act like little EZ-Bake ovens for the coil packs? I remember back in the early days of LS1's, everyone was ditching the FRC because they were afraid of trapping in the heat.

They are made by ABEAR and they are a sponsor. They are expensive but look awsome. When I am done with my rebuild this spring there will be a set of their black anodized cover on my engine

No problems with heating the coils up.

I explain our attempts to kill a coil here.

We haven't had a customer call saying, "My coils just died!" If it would have happened we would have heard.

Cheers,

so... i know they are on sell for like $600... but when are you gonna have a sale on the sale?

P.S. I looked on your website... and I could be wrong, but it kinda made it seem like it just fits the vettes... didn't see an option in the drop-down for an F-body...

Here they are in an Fbody-
Absolutely no coil pack overheating issues here.

I was originally going to do fabbed sheet metal covers on the new build but after seeing these covers that Ryan/Abear was offering I figured I'd nut up and give'm a shot. I'm happy w/them-

To the OP.... those covers from ls1speed do look good. Re-locate the coils under the cowl and you'll be baller-

Those covers that seal the coils look terrific, but i can't see myself spending that much for valve covers.

i had my stockers ceramic coated and put some polished stainless hardware in place of the coil bracket bolts...just a temporary fix until i get some aftermarket ones, but it turned out so good IMHO that i'm in less of a hurry to dump $$$ on engine appearance mods...
