LS6 intake question

If I install an 02 LS6 intake on a 99 LS1 engine, what all do I need to make it work? I've heard that you can remove the ribs underneath the intake with a chisel or grinder.

What about the EGR that goes on the top of the LS1 intake... the LS6 manifold doesnt have it.

You can purchase and LS6 intake with EGR provisions from SLP. Or you can just get rid of the EGR system all together...

Ditch the egr..and if you feel like grinding, add the ls6 valley pan set up, you'll need to grind a nub off the block though.

When I did mine I just cut the the part of the coolant tube off that goes under the intake. And welded up the ends. I've had mine done for almost a year now and no over heating problems at all...and ditched the EGR

I also tossed the EGR; I always hated it. Now I need some LS1 Edit to get rid of it for good.

I tossed my EGR, and also bought a new coolant pipe (12568478) that just runs on the front from left to right and doesnt run towards the back of the block. And two plugs (12563325) for the back holes.
