1998's do have chips. The jet module is a chip. Also there might be more because the 98 couldnt have a diablo for it from I remember.

Maybe its an LT1? I know there are plenty of 355 LT1's out there so maybe he is just lying about the year? Either way I would stay the hell away from the car as judging from his email to you he is clueless.

If he's talking about sleeves then he's most likely talking about the ls1. He's just trying to swindle in my opinion. Only way to tell for sure in his mind is to tear the engine down. That means you have to buy it first. I'd ask for his engine shops number. If your answered with a "yello, what can I do ya for" hang up immediately and run away from the deal as fast as you can...

Actually, run from the deal anyway.
