Well if the block got bored out .03 , then he's probably thinking of the old school 350's. If you bored those out .03 then it became a 355. Alot of people still think the LS1 is a 350, but I dont know what an LS1 is when its .03 over.
As for the chip, we havent had those since 93'. The "full intake", well K&N does make one for our cars thats kinda pricey, but I dont know about it being a "full intake" since it only replaces the lid.

That's great, what you need to ask next is whats it run in the 1/4 mile.
I would bet it is a 9 second car LOL he'll tell you he timed it on his stop watch and raced it over a bridge that is "exactly 1/4 mile" =P

A couple things. I don't think you can go more than .010" over on an LS1 and only a 99 or later on that. Don't know of anyone that makes a sleeve to go over .030". Darton makes the MID sleeves but those are 4.1" before working on them.

Also the 3/4 race cam was what we put in our 327's that gave us 300hp. They also called it a 300 cam. Then they had the 325 cam, the 350 cam, and the one I had in my '55 Chevy, the 375 'fuelie' cam. That had a little lope, and you had to run it with solid lifters. I had to adjust them once a week. This was back in 71.

Thanks for the ref. it brought me back

I was in a similar situation like yourself. All the pictures I saw looked great but the seller seemed kinda shady. Went to look at the car in person and it looked like they did some "custom work" with a screw driver to the paint.
I prefer to get a stock car anyways and do mods yourself that way you will know exactly what you are getting yourself into.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

There is no "chip" for an f-body. Ask him if he did an LS1 -> diesel conversion.
I wouldn't ever buy a car that heavily modified, either. Sounds like you're walking into someone's nightmare. All he's doing is talking it up so he can charge you more. Aftermarket modifications hurt resale value, not help it. The bigger his mod list, the less I'd give him. He's trying to get more for it. He sounds like he's trying to con you. I'd look elsewhere. STOCK internals LS1's are the best car to buy. You never have to worry about living someone else's nightmare.
