installed headers and it throwing a code??? Please help!!

installed headers and it throwing a code??? Please help!!

I installed a set of hooker race LT's on my 2002 Z28. Now its throwing a code. When I extended the wires on the O2 I crossed one set by mistake and the car ran like crap. I changed the wires around and the car is running fine but now its throwing a check engine light. It idles fine and pulls strong but its throwing a code. WTF! I don't have any cats on the car and the rear O2 sensors are turned off. I gutted the cats and ran the car for about a month and it didn't throw any codes. Why would it throw a code now? If you can help with this please do. Thanks

Did you tune out the AIR system?

I had a tune on the car before the headers. I am getting my stall converter installed friday. I was going to get it tuned again after that. This would make the check engine light come on?

If you crossed a wire on an O2 sensor and the PCM picked up an error from it that will set off your CEL. Also until the rear O2s are tuned out they may still throw a code at anytime.
