Electric all the way. When I bought my car it had a manual one and I thought I would be fine with that but it really sucks. Now I'm looking for an electric one. I'm sure you would regret a manual one within a matter of days.

On position, closer to the headers (or exhaust manifolds) the louder.

Mine is loud enough when open that I'm afraid to be on the throttle when a cop is nearby.

I very much liked my QTP elec cut out for my LT1, if I didnt have a Corsa, id have a Borla with cutout, works out perfect for their plate setups.

go electric and put it in the y-pipe, should be a 3in, but measure just incase. It wont be nearly as loud as you think, you still have the stock y-pipe and the cats will muffle it some.

I voted electric as well. Its nice to be loud when you want and quiet when you need to talk to someone in the car I would not however do the dual electric just cause of the cost. With stock exhaust a single electric cutout would be good sound for the buck IMO.

I say go Manual. Most people leave the cut out open most of the time save your money for more hp mods.
