I have QTP HVMCs but am not going to persuade you to them. I'm not their salesman.

I remember a post here sometime ago where someone pulled their SLPs off and put either Kooks or standard-collector QTPs on and gained some power. I agree with it would seem like the multiple bends SLPs have might restrict some flow but I don't know for sure. It would make sense but I don't have experience with them. I do remember seeing several SLPs start rusting around the collectors after a while; it seems to be common. Since their T409 (I think) I don't think they are going to be affected more than cosmetically. As far as length of the primaries, I would say that QTP has probably among the longest. My collectors stop farther than most of the LTs I've seen here, other places, and on the street on other cars. Fitment-wise is a toss-up. I've read complaints regarding this from just about every LT. Quality-wise, I don't know that Pacesetters are crappy and don't flow. I know a guy on here and on my website that puts down around 430 RWHP with an MS3, Pacesetters, bullets, locked A4, FAST 90/90, and tune; I doubt they are more of a restriction more than any other 1 3/4" LT out there.

IMHO, if you want to spend the money on SLPs, there are some other SS LTs out there worth considering. There are a lot of cheaper LTs too. Heck, you may not even want SS and unless you plan on keeping your car for a LONG time ask yourself if the cost of SS is worth it. If not, save some money and put it toward a cam or stall (if you have an A4) and or tune.

You should be happy with most any LT out there. Good luck.

Having had both slp & qtp, qtp wins hands down. I don't have dyno comparison but fitment is much better with qtp. They install with no problems, spark plug access is better with qtp & spark plug wires have more clearance. The starter wires were TIGHT with slp's & I had to wrap them with foil. I could go on but you get the point.
