+1 WOW I thought this was a picture of my exhaust! The true dual exhaust on my TA is the same as this and I don't have any problems with clearance nor does it rattle against anything underneath the car.

it seems like everybody that has it, likes it. after seeing the picuters i think i'm going to get mine run like that. as long as the pipes are symetrical i think it looks good. i'll just get them to make it so i can unbolt the pipes before the rear axle for when i have to drop it.

You need to stop and think for at least a second. Your dif is always the same distancefrom the ground. However, as the suspension compresses the exhaust (which has to go under the rear axle when the suspension is fully extended) only gets closer.

It's redneck AND Getto.

Personally i prefer the over-the-axle setup because it looks cleaner. i don't like anything hanging down really under the car, but somestimes you can't avoid it. do whatever you like.

How many of you converted from Y pipe to this and what kind of power did you gain?

Thanks,

For people that say your exhaust will get crushed over the axle, that's why there's a panhard relocation kit.

As for gains, despite running cats true duals with longtubes netted me a 43HP gain. I got MORE than QTP's advertised HP gain. 306->349 SAE RWHP Not too often that happens.

Again, without real world experience you wouldn't know. MY exhaust was done while the suspension was loaded so that there wouldn't be banging issues. Ignorance, got to love it!

You only see people with strong "red necks" driving farm trucks? You dont say!? DUMMY

You dont like anything hanging down under the car but yet your catback does? Again, NOTHING "hangs" on this setup, unless its jimmy rigged and done improperly. A proper setup has support both at the muffler, the piping and the tips.

I really do not see a reason for some people to get upset with the way someone chooses to run their exhaust! Who really cares as long as it does not make the car look like crap it's gravy to me.Some may not like it cause that's all they seem to see hey get some more HP and pass me!
Plenty people have their own mind set on how they would like their ride set up
I have been told by a few members here that my exhaust has pinch bends instead of MANDREL bends and it is hurting flow those are the ones that know NOTHING about exhaust....those bends are way after the BURN rate inside the pipes which is generally 2-3' past the collector and that is where the X-pipe is....It is not an issue about $ it's how i wanted it!
I do not have the heat shields out back anymore since the exhaust is not near the tank anymore! Enjoy your exhaust what ever way you choose!
