SLP vs FTP lid?

SLP vs FTP lid? I have a stock intake with a K and N air filter. Trying to decide what intake to get. I see the SLP lids sold along side the FTP lids. Is the FTP superior to the SLP? Can I use my k and n filter with the FTP lid? I see the SLP combo packages with the smooth elbow slp lid ram air and air filter. Dont see a combo kit for the FTP. If there is no difference between the FTP and SLP.. I will go with the kit.
if you go with the fast toys lid you have to go with the 85 mm maf sensor.
the slp you keep your stock maf sensor. if you go with the 85mm maf you have to get tunned for the air flow through your air flow sensor. if not it will lean your car out. so if any thing i would go with the slp set up. you canrt go wrong.

You cannot use the Fast Toys 85mm air lid with a stock MAF so it is really hard to compare the two. I can tell you that a mild cam, bolt on M6 car picked up .8 MPH in the quarter mile when switching from the aftermarket air lid and Fast Toys ported MAF ends to the SLP MAF and Fast Toys 85mm air lid on the same day.

The SLP 85mm MAF's come with a very crude tuning method. You can run like that but your best results will be with a custom tune.

I hadn't heard any good things about the SLP Maf. Honestly I would like to run the FTP lid with a good 85mm MAF. GMS maybe. I don't have the "tuning" software, who could tune it if I purchased it along with the lid? And what would be the cost?
huh? You can not use the stock MAF with your airlid??
On your website you sell an adapter gasket that says is used with a stock MAF if you dont have an 85mm. Im confused?

You CAN use the stock MAF with the Fast Toys 85mm air lid if you purchase our adapter gasket for 8.00
To use an 85mm MAF with our air lid requires no adapter.
The bottom line is that lid makes sense for anyone that doesn't have an aftermarket lid already because you can grow into it should you ever upgrade your motor to the point that you need an 85mm MAF or you decide to go speed density and want maxium flow.

I don't have any mods yet. I am getting ready to add a set of LT's to the mix but other than that...nothing save for maybe a Underdrive pulley and LS6 intake. I just want something different. I have a TSP Lid but it is cracked so a new one is needed, would the FTP lid make any sense at all to add to a stock motor? I may mod it later but not for a while. An adapter added to "make it" fit would take away the lids "better" flow over the other lids out there wouldn't it? Maybe I am reading into this too much. Might have to just get a GMS Maf and FTP lid and just do it. Might be a waste might not...we'll see.

Since your TSP lid is cracked and you want to replace it, that FT 85mm air lid would be a great addition for you.
