Will an LS1 alternator fit an LT1?
Will an LS1 alternator fit an LT1? Just a simple question. I'm trying to sell my LS1 chromed alternator and i have a guy interested in it for his LT1.. i dont believe it will fit, but i tried searching and found nothing on it. Does anyone know if mine will fit his LT1? Its a 96' if that means anything... Thank you!

Kind of a broad question. Anything CAN fit. Just depends on how much fab work you want to do. I am almost positive that the mounting will be different, but this could be remedied by making your own mount. Plus pully might need to be changed. I have never owned an LT1, so I could be way off here.
yea, well i dont mean my question to be broad. I know you can make anything fit obviously, just wondering if this will bolt right up on an lt1 or not....

Call a local auto parts store and get them to cross refrence it. If the LS1 and LT1 use the same part # then i should work.
Either that or go get them to pull an LT1 alternator and compare the 2.
