O2 Sims help. Running badly.

O2 Sims help. Running badly.

Today I got rid of the EGR and since I had a bad O2 sensor I just ordered sims and put those in instead. I started the car and it ran fine for a bit then it almost died and would not respond to any throttle at all. Sounded like it was sucking alot of air. Turned it off and restarted it then it was fine for about 2 minutes then began to idle and run like crap again. Will O2 sims cause this? I currenly have no rear o2s(they are deleted) and gutted cats. Need some help here guys b.c I cant find a leak as far as in the engine bay or anything. Like I said it starts fine and sounds great then it just goes haywire.

Sounds like you put the O2 sims on the front O2 sensor harness. You can't do that. They have to go on the rear set.

Alrighty I spose I was misled by a "friend" here. They ARE indeed in the front harness. I guess I will just have to buy new O2s?

Yes, you have to run O2 sensors in the front positions as the car uses those for closed loop operation/tuning. The O2 sims can only be used on the rear set of sensors for off-road use.
